Very useful... thanks all. I have a very low line (its not really a hedge) of lavender down the side of the house and have tow varieties. One variety is a real brute and spreads everywhere. the other is really nice and compact with much brighter, fuller flowers. I will now take cuttings of the smaller version to grow on and gradually replace the big variety to make a neater, more compact stepover hedge!
Thanks again all.
Thanks again all.

Bees are more attracted to the colour purple than white,it might look nice having a few purple & a few white, does the purple lavender have more of a scent I dont know. I sowed this lavender in December under a grow light, only one seed germinated, seeds are quite old. Im in the middle of potting everything on Ill do this one in a minute
