Jimny, if you weren't so far away I would borrow your sous gardener. look at that sunflower, it looks like she has the green thumbs and fingers! Mine aren't half as tall yet.

If it makes you even happier, Bob, yours is taller than mine - and always will be.

I haven't sown any - keep forgetting to.

Monsoon season here - I'm wishing it had been a "Rain-flower" competition this year.

PS and whoever is doing the Rain Dance will they please cease and desist for a bit.

Maybe we should be growing Umbrella Plants instead!

odd language English, "Umbrella " suggests something to give shade like a parasol, whereas the French "parapluie" (roughly = against rain) is more of worthwhile description in this neck of the woods.

Mine are about a meter tall so far. Rainy weather slowed them down a bit

Also noticed today that ants had set up shop farming aphids on the growing tips. So I blasted them off with water from a spray gun

I'm going to have to figure out how to post pictures on the forum soon I guess

No flowers coming on mine. The tallest are around 4 foot tall now, and I think they'll be late, but respectable.
