Here is my mad bantam Mirabelle on her flowerpot nest. She has been escaping and laying her eggs here, probably because she is about to go broody. Doesn't she know there is a big freeze on the way?

Well, she probably would but it's the position she likes rather than the pot. Earlier in the year when the pots had things other than weeds in and were arranged differently she squeezed between them and made her nest behind. And on another occasion I had a broody coop only a few yards away, empty. She decided to start making her nest and laying in that. And then I did let her sit. She is a good broody and has always hatched 100% but I'm not going to let her sit, it's too cold. After this photo was taken she got off shouting at me but got back on again when I had gone. Sat there till dusk then got off and flew back into the enclosure and went to bed with the others.Originally posted by binley100 View PostShe looks like a garden ornament . If you moved the pot under cover would she still nest on it?
Just thought you would like to see her as she looks so sweet on her pot nest!
