Good advice Suechooks, about not letting the hen sit for too long, as you say, hens can loose condition so quickly especially a large hen like an Orpington, also be very aware of redmite if she is sitting she will be a redmite meal 24/7. It is a good idea to dust the nest box with Diatom powder. Citygirl take care giving hens raisins and sweetcorn, if they are eating less at this time it's extremely important to give them the correct protein level.
