Cider vinegar is great for keeping the chuks gut parasite free apparently, I put 10ml to 1.5 ltr of water every other day. Mine also have a tonic every other day to keep them perky, all organic. Have been told normal cider vinegar is just fine and cheaper unless you buy organic. You can get a pear cider vinegar and I dont think thats as good for chuks, thats why they stress 'apple'. Not Magners either :0)

Point is that 'pear cider' is the wrong name. If it is made from pears it is not cider, it is perry.Originally posted by Chuky cupcake View PostCider vinegar is great for keeping the chuks gut parasite free apparently, I put 10ml to 1.5 ltr of water every other day. If it is cider (or cider vinegar), it is made from apples. (just me being a bit pedantic about terminology)Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Be as pedantic as you wish Hilary - I entrely agree. The current advert for Pear Cider sets me teeth on edge. I wonder if they associate Perry with the old Babycham adverts and think it sounds too woosie for blokes?Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
