thanks hun, think that's it, will probably give them till tomorrow just in case, but i don't think anythings gonna happen, theres just no signs of life ..... it's just so disappointing, i just don't know what went wrong ..... i thought i did everything right, and they grew and and ....... s'not fair i wanted babies

it must be incrediably heartbreaking for you Lynda. i dont know the 1st thing about chooks.....yet!, and i've watched this thread, waiting like everyone for the action to begin. i dont know if its really curtains, or if theres still hope.....hopefully someone in the know will come along and tell you.

Don't give up, Linda!! The temperature of the incubator is a factor in a late hatch. Give them another couple of days at least.

thanks for all the hugs and kind thoughts...... it does help a little ...... i've tried the hot water thing again today and nothing ........ but i'll definitely give them till tomorrow, then i'm gonna crack the eggs and see what went on, if nothing else i'll know roughly when they died.

just have to figure out now if i can bear to try again with more eggs.

Course you can try again!! You've got the set up all there, and you've got some experience under your belt. I do feel for you though, all the excitement and anticipation, then a possible anticlimax. Only possible at this stage though - listen to what the others have said and don't give up just yet xxxx

Give them until Wednesday....just to be sure. I've heard of them hatching 3 or 4 days later than expected. The last thing you want to do is crack them to find that they were still alive, just not ready to face the weather yet!!!
