Newbie with ideas needed

In my early days of potato pots I just used salad potatoes that I sprouted (read- left too long in larder) and never had any problem. Didn't always have top yield but they were basically free!

I planted garlic last month and it's sprouting already you can not believe how chuffed I am that it's actually growing (I'm not usually good at anything let alone plants and flowers which I always forget to water and die on me lol) But this time I wont forget
