Smashing crop of broadies & peas DVG - well done you We're still waiting for ours to be ready as we were late planting this year (I had awful trouble getting both going this year so it took a few sowings which put us behind).

Put a couple of sprouting supermarket spuds (Vivaldi) in a tub. Dug them up today - 2lbs of lovely new potatoes for very little effort. Well chuffed!

similar results for me from two plants… one a red, unknown variety, of red waxy spud with 10cm chits …and a tiny , almost reject, bought Charlotte seed potato ( the size of a marble!)

They look gorgeous, Nicos. I like waxy potatoes much more than the floury ones. It's lovely to get food almost for free and no effort, isn't it? I planned on not growing tomatoes this year, using the space for courgettes instead, and blow me, hiding under the huge courgette leaves is a volunteer tomato with flowers on. No idea what breed it is, I'll have to wait and see. More free food!

Really gorgeous, rary. Are they strongly perfumed? Must be lovely in your garden.

Yes they are perfumed Snoop, nice in a warm calm evening getting a perfume wafting over, though it gets difficult to say where it comes from with both oriental li?lies and phlox also in the vicinity
