        Aww, sweet little mirabelles, they couldn't bear to be parted from one another Nicos.

        Fab looking sweetcorn DGV, I think homegrown sweetcorn is an absolute must, so, so superior to anything your can buy.
        Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

          Picked the first of the purple maize today - got given some seeds by an allotment neighbour who called it "Halloween corn". Looks like something else besides purple was involved
          As expected it tasted more floury, it's not sweetcorn. I don't mind, reminds me of the maize we use to ahem help ourselves to as kids from farmers fields.
