    Thank you for the information, Buffs. May try some victoria buddding/grafts on the nectarine now from brothers tree as well as the other opal/herman that I have

      I have heard that some people have had problems with bought in scions/trees, so I suppose we have to be wary of what we bring into our gardens, okay if you know the history of them, this year we had a really short warm, season, which has given us a smaller crop in total, but big, very sweet plums that we have nearly finished now, only 40-50 left on the tree now as we only pick them when they are ripe and soft, so we get the best of them..
