Amazed 16 8 year olds by explaining how we grow potatoes from a wrinkly brown thing.
We planted the following in the name of science (and because I had some left over)
1 Rocket
1 Casablanca
1 Duke of York
2 Charlotte
Predicted which would be most successful (Rocket because the seed was bigger!), Picked out 5 same size buckets, carefully measured soil, labelled and put all the buckets in the same place.
They went a bit mental on the 'fair testing' aspect!!
I also planted my own at home in bags, about 8 of each and moved my fruit bushes in pots to the front garden now the sun has decided to show its face.

Laid some flags for barrel planter to sit on ready for strawberries that need moving. Spread rest of well rotted manure over mixed raised bed in front garden (it runs the full length of garden 3ft wide 70ft long, with a wall i built out of dry stone that i dug out, it's a very wiggly wall
) realised i have LOST my huge envelope with 4 years of seeds in
which is why i didn't post last night as i was too busy searching
