    Bit of a shame you can't start now, if you can get a petrol brush cutter or strimmer which is what I attacked my jungle with, that would let you see the wood through the trees as they say.

    I have my own as well as a chain saw for the more woody type of problem I've had but if you can borrow one it would save alot of time trying to clear the ground and then you can decide on digging or raised beds.

    But the BIG plus is that its a blank canvas so you can put your own stamp on it what ever you decide to do with it.
    The day that Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck ...

      It is a shame..but i did try. think i am going to get a petrol brush cutter or strimmer..as there are banks at the top and bottom,.

                Looking good there.

                Best tool I found to dig out carpet was a digging hoe/azada. Used it to skim off the couch grass and soil on top of the carpet first, then undercut the carpet to cut through the weed roots anchoring it to the ground as I rolled the carpet back. Saved my back a lot of pain as my very first allotment was fully carpeted.
