Inside of the poly getting there Ma tidied it up this morning.

Any gladiolus growers out there? Planning to sink quite a few. Normal ones and the giant ones.

Now which Aunty or uncle was it that grew red duke of York and international kidney? Thinking about the yield and when to harvest. Think they been in the ground about a month or so.

All of the spuds are now planted. Have sunk some more Red Baron onions. Sunfloo'ers, running and climbers have even sown. Even have some poppy plugs potted up. Window sills are burgeoning with squashes, cucumbers and chillies. Carrots and parsnips are in the 4TB as babes.

Was pottering around today and looking at the the small infant grape vines. I have 'Madeleine Sylvaner' and 'boskoop glory'. I know the latter has a thread in here. They are both only a couple of years old,. I have three vines and two are starting to form buds. Any advice on them? I know they take time

May have got too many spuds. Have planted lady Balfour and red duke of York. Kestral, international kidney, 3xMaris piper and 2x king eds still to sink. Might have got a bit carried away.

Last year I had chillies in Morrisons buckets, and to be fair; molluscs took a nibble and then toddled off.

Fished out this morning, orange habanero chilli and hot scotch red. Just waiting for yellow habanero and one more yog pot of hot scotch.

So - were it to be found that a spray using the ingredients from said ridiculously hot chillies was anti-molluscal - you'd use it then, Hobbit ? That's very speciesist...if not genera-ist...
You might get lucky. I think it is going to be a very hot summer this year. Not without its storms and such of course, but I for one am planning on trying to grow things like American Groundnuts http://http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IND.../231182632439?that I wouldn't normally expect to have a chance this far North.

Won't be using them as a weapon of assault and irritation.

I'm sure there is a legitimate sauce like jelly thing one can make with 'em. If I actually get any fruits. It's a long time til harvest.

I pickle them and give them to my brother in law who thinks it's macho to eat hot chillies . It's his own fault and I can't resist

A superhot chilli, an experimental one in that I have never grown that sort. There is a Somerset one...or one from Wiltshire. No guarantee I will get any fruit. But if I do, no idea what I can do with them as they are ridiculously hot.

Fished out the second Jamaican jerk hot chilli out of the heated prop. Happy to see both seedlings as they are meant to be really hard to germinate. Just waiting on red and yellow scotch bonnets; these are proving to be quite stubborn. Now have vast array of sweet peppers, hot and super hot peppers.
