  • Dick Van Dyke..

Ok, I've been given a small wood burner that I want to install in my shed. The thing I'm not sure about is A) Putting in a chimney B) Lagging the walls (or Burner) C) Things I should know before I burn my shed down?????????? I'm used to having a coal fire at home but thats not in a wooden building!

Flue pipe needs to clear the top of the shed by about a metre. Where it goes through the roof you will need to remove the timber and support flue with metal flashing unless it goes through the side where a similar setup will need to be applied. I buillt a stone wall behind my woodburner to deflect heat. My flue pipe is 18 inches from side of greenhouse. Hope this helps.
