Ok, I've been given a small wood burner that I want to install in my shed. The thing I'm not sure about is A) Putting in a chimney B) Lagging the walls (or Burner) C) Things I should know before I burn my shed down?????????? I'm used to having a coal fire at home but thats not in a wooden building!

Flue pipe needs to clear the top of the shed by about a metre. Where it goes through the roof you will need to remove the timber and support flue with metal flashing unless it goes through the side where a similar setup will need to be applied. I buillt a stone wall behind my woodburner to deflect heat. My flue pipe is 18 inches from side of greenhouse. Hope this helps.Originally posted by Prince of Durham View PostOk, I've been given a small wood burner that I want to install in my shed.
