Hi all,ive been around for a bit but thought its about time i said hello

I applied for an allotment in Feb and was amazed to actually get given a plot, 5 perch,on the 17 of May.

I'm not expecting to grow much this year as its taking along time to dig the clay over as its fairly compacted as its been unused for a couple of years

Ive got a some runners, french beans, courgettes, BNS, toms lettuce and some sweetcorn in.

All those were my spares except the corn they very nearly hit the compost bin. I think i might have too many courgettes as i have 6 at home and 10 at the lottie and 10 germinating.Im just looking to cover the ground atm

heres a almost before and work in prgress
my plot stops just before the bin in pic no1

The raised bed containers are being used to protect the BNS from wind as i just planted them

I think you need to get that book from Garden Organic which is a cookery book with recipes for courgettes only!!
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown
