I found some asparagus crowns in b&q last night - 4 crowns for £2.98, not bad. They also have onion, shallot sets, garlic and jerusalem artichoke.

I bought shallots and red onion sets, they look really nice and healthy, and an absolute bargain 100 onion sets for £1.98. I've got my eye on the asparagus, but haven't got anywhere to put it just yet.Comment

Ive just bought a selection of these as well. Trouble is the weather this weekend is freezing - so I think I'll wait a bit before planting them.

Anyone ever tried growing their own ginger?
I'm having a go and have followed an instructional video on YouTube about it. I picked a lump of root out of the supermarket with "eyes" on it, little buds that then expand and burst to form the long stemmed leaves.
