Polytunnel advice

Hi i have a cheap polytunnel i have put foam pipe insulation on the frame / the hoops and secured that with plastic zip tie. Do i need to put any tape on zip ties before putting the cover on? If so would duct tape or hotspot tape? On a budget. Thanjs for any replies

Hotspot tape on the zip ties is worth doing if you can get it, the plastic heads can still create pressure points over time. Duct tape works in a pinch but it tends to dry out and peel after a season or two in the sun. If you're on a budget, even a few wraps of old fleece or bubble wrap around the worst spots will help the cover last longer.
