Tomato food

Just wondering if any of you buy Tomato food in bulk and where you get it from.
how much is it?
witch is best?
we have just been buying tomorit
or do you make your own?

Shop around and buy it from cheaper places like poundstretcher or buy in bulk if there is a BOGOF offer. Then again I only have 9 plants so I don't need a lot of the stuff. I have and am using Levingtons which seems to do a good job. You can also check the DIY stores own brand against the premium stuff. Just compare the label percentages and chemical ingradients. I did this for glyphosate based weedkiller and the homebrand was just the same as roundup yet nearly 50% cheaper!

You may be able to use bone meal as a good base of your own concoction. Anything high in potassium (K) is what you're after and I'm sure bone is just that. I don't know what other natural products are but maybe seaweed is as that is always on the label?

I use own brand stuff but also make them a dilute mix of worm juice from my wormery which they seem to love.

I make my own... either Nettles or ... ... can't remember the flippin' name... grows about 4 foot high with little purple bell shaped flowers bee love. A nightmare to grow unless you buy the stuff that is bred not to grow like wild flower...?

Anyway, I pick the leaves and drop them into a water but full of water. About a bucket full of leaves. I stir every once in a while and when it smells like a farm it's ready to use I think it's something like half a mug per watering can. You need more than shop bought stuff, but then it's effectively free and can be as pesticide free as you care to grow it
