Thanks skeggijon. I can see how there may be issues with that. I suspect it would be easier to send seeds as opposed to cuttings, but one would still have to be concerned with importing invasive species and diseases.

The following are prohibited from sending to USA from UK:

      Vegetable products
Except as provided, plants, and plant products which are subject to restrictions or prohibitions of plant quarantines or regulatory orders of the U.S. Department of Agriculture may not be imported into the United States through the mails and should not be accepted for transmittal to that country.
      Vegetables, roots and tubers.
      Fruits, nuts and citrus peels.
      Coffee.
      Cereals
      Wheat products.
      Fruits, seed, grains, and fodder.
      O***m.
      Vegetable products.

Seems a bit of a mine field.

Wow, you're not kidding. Seems rather onerous. Where can one find this and other information?

The laws are fairly strict about these things, I was supposed to bring a Bay/Laurel home with me from Ireland and apparently I needed a plant passport so I didn't bother.

You should be able to get the info from your postal service.

Based on the information here it seems like there should be no issue with apple seeds. Furthermore, there should be no issues with small lots of seeds (excepting of course the restricted varieties).

Apples aren't usually propagated from seeds, Onsdag - they are usually grafted - so ordering the tree from over here would not be allowed.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

                        Hello and welcome from France.

Mr PP and myself have been to Utah a number of times as we are confirmed Powder Hounds and a perfect day at Alta is hard to beat I guess we should go back in the growing season sometime.

It would go snuggly in the ski bag, but sadly (or happily) we get our winter fix right here now.
