  • Hello from Cidermaker

Hi. I'm a small time commercial cider maker, have a small polytunnel and keep chickens and ducks. I obviously look forward to joining in on the forum and getting to know some of you.

        Hi Paul.
My oldest trees were planted in the winter of 2008 and I've had my first crop off them this year. In previous years, I've been able to get lots of apples from friends and neighbours but this year has been a disasterous year for apples.
VC I'm in the opposite end of wales to you.

Hello Cidermaker, welcome to the Vine. I see from the above post that you are in Wales. If you add your location (nearest town) to your profile it will show up on your posts and save us having to keep asking you.

You can also use the opportunity to add more details about yourself on your profile if you wish. (If you add your birthdate you will get Happy Birthday wishes from us when it comes round)

Happy birthday and welcome to the Vine, Cidermaker.

I'll volunteer to test any cider you're not sure of.

I have dabinet and tom putt specifically to make cider, but the trees are only 2 years old. The Dabinet is a wonderful little tree though I was surprised as I had been told it was abit fussy.....How about you CM?
                              Happy Birthday for yesterday
