A bit milder than yesterday...

Same here lowest was 12C. but the forecast 'high' is only 15C and that only if the sun shines

Didn't sleep very well so not sure what the plan is for today, but hope you all have a good'un

Snow forecast up in the mountains for us too this weekend. Snowline a couple of hundred metres above us, so we'll likely be OK. Me, I'd love a hard winter this year. They've been too warm recently (no rain though), so snow would be better. Plus, it kills off pests. And I've also been worrying about that Asian hornet coming our way. Cold winters keep them at bay.

So, bright, blue and chilly today. Solar panels are loving it!

And thanks for the enlightenment on Saturnalia, FF. Look on the bright side: at least you won't be left with a great pile of washing-up.

We still have strong winds and overcast, not cold...………….yet!!(There's been snow on the tops of the Munroes for a couple of weeks at over 3000 feet, just coming lower down this weekend.

Good afternoon, had the oldest grandson with us this morning so I went out to the garden to clean up some carrots that I had lifted the other day, it was dark when I was lifting them (overhead electric light) so just put them into a box and discovered what I thought was dirt on some of them is actually marks caused by carrot fly, so much for the not being able to go high the raised bed is 2ft. 6in. high,I had been using them up till mid September and they were clear so I was either lucky not to have pulled any damaged ones or the fly was moving about that time, and I don't know what section of the bed the damaged ones were in, so that lesson for me, check the veg when working under electric light, I was going to say in the dark but that covers my gardening at any time if it stays dry I might start lifting my gladioli tonight as the forecast is showing the temperature will be dropping over the weekend, though not the snow that FF had seen forecast though we get it cold and wet here, we don't see a lot of snow. Well keep warm and enjoy you gardening

Morning all. Up early this morning as the guy is supposed to be coming to point the chimney.

He was supposed to come last Thursday and didn't turn up. Here's hoping he'll turn up today!

Expecting a busy and awkward day in work, so was planning to head in an hour early but hit snooze way too many times this morning! I'll get there on time but have lost my head start. Not ideal as I have to leave work on time today.

Good morning, still raining here came on the back of six yesterday and don't think it has stopped all night, was hopping to get some onion sets planted but might wait now as frost forecasted over weekend, Snoop I would be most appreciative if you could move the rain over to your area no matter enjoy your day whatever the weather is
