Brilliant cake and railway model. Absolutely fantastic. Can I have a go on the trains followed by tea and cake? Or tea and cake before and after?

Me, I'll be looking through my seeds and working out whether I can really justify buying X, Y and Z when I've already got A, B and C. I've found a brill French supplier, but the seeds are a wee bit more expensive than I'm used to paying in the UK but the packets are huge. Do I really need 300 sweetcorn seeds?!

Plus, I'll be trying to get my beds sorted, not all will be dug, but some will. And I'll be designing the drip system. All in the hope of rain...

Unlike most if not all of you, I'm in a "no rain, no play" situation.

What is it all made of? Do you buy bits in? Does it have working parts?

Indeed in the picture it's two but they are missing members to make them act as one there is a nice pin joint in the middle and if real it would collapse

I am told I have way too many hobbies, if it's blowing an easterlie gale I will be out in the dark on the local rocks and beaches after Cod, if it's blowing in any other direction I'll be after flat fish like Turbot. If it's not good fishing weather I'll be in the loft.

Scarlet to answer a few of your questions.

The railway is N gauge 9mm between the rails and 1:160 scale for everything else.

The railway kit itself is bought in as is as are the locos and rolling stock, but you have to bend and fix the track and design and fit all the wiring. The wiring feeds the controlled electric current to the locos, points/turnouts, signal lights etc.

As to the diorama the trees were bought with pretty much everything else made on site. A fair amount of tweezers and large illuminated magnifying glass work.

My problem is I don't like playing trains so once everything is proven as working it will go on the bay to make room for the next one.

Hmm, I'm rubbish with electrics ...but I like the sound of the rest of it I use optivisors for lots of close up work, worth every penny.

^^^^^^Yes they are good and I tried a set but I am as blind as a bat without my varifocal specs and found it difficult to use the two together, so I use one of these.
