So, what is everyone up to today?

The weather forcast doesn't look too good, with lots of rain on the horizon so I wondered how people were spending their time today? Obviously I'm gathering all the knowledge I can on this wonderful forum before I move into my house. Got a move in date for 28th though so well chuffed!

Got some marking and preparation to do as well(as I'm a teacher by trade) but shhhh, I'd rather get paid for gardening and craft work Anyone else a bit crafty? I like to make cards mostly.

Hopefully the sun will shine when I move into my house so I can garden till my hearts' content!

Work from home but desperately wanted to put my dahlias and celeriac out in the mini greenhouse today but I fear it is too cold.

Working from home today as my trains are up the spout. Very tempting to pop into the garden but can't... I have so much work to do

Spent 8hrs on my family tree. Am still recovering from weekend Over the past 3 weekends my OH and I have clocked up 50hrs between us on the plot,digging in muck and making raised beds. Only 10x12ft left to do, and managed to get the asparagus and spuds in too! Will post a picture of before and after sometime

Spent an hour out with hosepipe watering allotment.....now theres a novelty for some of you!

had a lazy day.....

had a lazy day today went to a market and got some plants,

came home and watered the greenhouse and tidied up after my dogs in the garden and then surfed this site for a while.

at home between jobs at the minute so awaiting agency calls with plenty of time for the garden tasks, try to do something every day.

have plenty of projects on the go and the luxury of a workshop to keep out the rain. could still do with a little helper though.

I drove up and down the dual carriage way lots and lots! And did reversing round a corner and parallel parking and three point turns. Practicing for my driving test and can't wait to get it over and done with!

I then came home and planted some cucumber seeds and transplanted some of last years strawberry plants into a gorwbag, but not sure if I'll get fruit from them as I think the plants are pretty old...I rooted the off shoots from plants I found in the garden when we moved here two years ago and only got a couple of strawbs last year...so I guess this is the final push as don't strawberry plants last 3 years and then it's not worth keeping them?

No longer offshore

I've stopped going offshore for a while but.... I get to work 1 week in 4 on nights in the office.

Just heard that it may increase to 1 week in 3

Good thing is I get to water and look after the veg patch more.

I am on rest days at the mo so am potting up dahlias in the heated greenhouse today and if its dry enough will be sowing peas on the plots when the OH gets home. If it rains we can do some "inside gardening" in the tunnel.

Yep it is true about strawberries and 3 years, maybe best to get some new plants if you only got a couple of strawberries last year.

cheers...I need it! I've planted the strawbs in a growbag now, so might as well leave them there and see if I get anything...if not they'll be added to the compost heap. Thanks for letting me know about the 3 year thing - I knew I wasn't makingit up!

been to London and back by 1pm, helping out friends at the press viewing of the Sunday Times Home Show at Excel in Docklands. seems like a nice event, but very poor gardens/gardening section. came home, checked emails, decided didnt want to work today, looked at garden, came on here... got to go and release kids from first day back at school in an hour!!

Hi Eskymo, Lidl are selling 6pack of strawberry plants for Euro 6.99. You might be interested if theres one near you.
