They're lovely! Are the cake stands hard to make? I want to give that a go, but worried about breaking the plates...

Not too hard but need diamond tip drills (mrw did a lot of research on you tube) they can be done using a normal drill,hubby has a fixed 'bench drill' which makes it easier,spindles ordered online.

Thanks, I just have a normal drill but I think I shall scour charity shops for suitable plates and give it a go!
