We had membership so make the most of it...great for children to see living history, espesh in the Apprentice House.
Do they still have the veg/herb garden there?

Morning all, still warm here as well.
Rotten nights sleep - again. No wonder I feel so lethargic when I get up.
We have eaten salad all week, not because I don't fancy cooking, it's the eating of a hot dinner that bothers me. Last night was with Charlottes as always and pork ribs. Lovely.
Hubby is still thinking he can obliterate the weeds in our lawns by hand, never gonna happen.
Anyone got any advice on weed and feed?

Good morning all from a beautiful sunny Dublin.
Off out to water my greenhouse plants and off out for pitch and putt.
Today is the captins day so it will be a two round competition and of course the usual social activities afterwards over tea and cakes.

My first visit Nicos - just did the Mill part yesterday and had a wander around Styal Village. The Apprentice House and the Garden are my excuse to go back again! I got a bobbin though I was very impressed - I joined NT a couple of weeks ago, so I am going to make the most of my 'investment'.

I really want to be on the rant thread but i can't because there might be someone else on here who would know what i'm talking about and I've been legally gagged. So I'm sitting here on the G&T's fuming and waiting until the temperature drops and I will go rotovating.

In the meantime I've got my dining room furniture split between the lounge and the kitchen and i've put a stool up against the kitchen worksurface so that I can look out at the garden whilst I do VAT returns.

I've had a bit of a giggle as Prince is in love with my son's dog who I look after occasionally. Her bed here sits inside my dogs' bed and is sancrosanct to Prince. As my kitchen floor is a bit hard I shifted my sons dogs bed next to my stool in the kitchen. Prince then took quite a lot of time putting it back in his basket. OK, she's his princess.

Full moon....It does make you wonder!

Bought some brioche yesterday so I can make some individual summer puddings to freeze later this week...nice getting stocked up isn't it?
Looks like I'll be able to start bottling some of my veg soon too !

A day in the garden for me. There's Cycle race thing here with lots of road closures, including the top end of my road Good luck to anyone who wants to cycle 140k in this heat up the mountains. The bad news is - I can't get to Morries for my Sunday afternoon yellow sticker shop! Good job I went yesterday

Morning all, sunny here with the threat of showers lunchtime. If I don't do any washing, it won't rain you can bet your bottom dollar
Was having the kids over for tea, but they cancelled. Will be cooking an extra large chicken later and eating it for gawd knows how many days.
All crops are coming along very nicely. My tumbling Tomatoes have loads on them
Money maker is the other variety and coming along well too.

Good morning all. Warm and sunny again. Off to church soon and after lunch we are going to a horticultural show.
Have to water the greenhouse first. Still no rain so the water butts are beginning to run low.
