evening all... WE GOT THE HOUSE!!! feeling very happy - although a few stressful months to get through now. I'll relax once the keys are in my hand. As soon as things are a bit more definitive I'll share some garden pics - I can't wait to get started and already have lots of questions ready to ask!!

Congratulations vixylix, and just a reminder once the keys are in your hand, is generally when OHs get no rest.
Well it has been a lovey weekend here, not as warm as last week but still pleasant and bright, took my wife out to Callander and it felt like a date, as I got caught with having to pay for coffees and scones, haven't done that in a long time, today I have been busy painting three large white tubs they are now dark green, they were just the wrong colour as they caught your eye every time you went into the back garden (or so I was told). Well I wish you all a good night, as I am going out to light the fire in the greenhouse, I was told I should take my bed out there, and when I asked if it would be ok. to have someone in to heat it up, I am thankful her slippers are not heavy. Goodnight.

Today is the first day I've done anything to do with gardening for 3 years. I've set up my propagators and have planted seeds. I know they will be late but experience tells me they will catch up. I can't use my garden yet so I've set up 10 hanging baskets to grow strawberries, tumbler tomatoes, tiny melons, cucumbers etc. A bit like town windowsill gardening.

And I can't stop crying. It sounds silly but I accepted the death of my very good friend probably because he was in his seventies. I didn't expect the death of his daughter and her 2 children. His widow has lost her whole family and she has gone to stay with a stepson. How does anyone deal with this?

That's really sad Janie, sometimes it's a good thing to cry, helps you get thing out.
Life is cruel isn't it. I have no idea how I would be in this position and thank the Lord that I'm not.

Worked all day, takeaway tonight , watered plants, stuff in house are struggling and drying instantly with heating on (for mil) .

Tis a bank holiday here today....Yey!
Hope to finally get some gardening done today, but need to help our neighbours take down their marquee etc from yesterday.
Had a really brill time.
Got home from lunch just before pumpkin o'clock

Morning Nicos and Florence fennel
The sun is shining, we've had a frost again. Greenhouse just down to 0.3 . Mil is due home today and we have some time off, shame weathers due to nosedive after all this lovely weather but hope to get on with planting seeds , potting things on and "hopefully" getting things planted out. We shall see, but he needs a rest that's for sure.

Over cast, dry and not windy. That will do for me very nicely. Going to threaten the house with a bit of cleaning. Then play outside.

Morning all.

No frost but dull depressing sky this morning. Some sun is supposed to be forecast for later so I shall be waiting impatiently with my nose pressed against the window. (I find it hard to get going in the garden when there's no sun, mmmmm wonder if I was a tomato or cucumber plant in a previous life )

Daughter is sitting French Higher today so I'm on 'I'm making you a good healthy breakfast and you had better eat it' duty this morning.

A very good morning all! It's bright and sunny again at the moment... GH went down to 1.7 ...
So still cold overnight
Off to 'the grind' very soon ..... no playing out for me today
