Evening all - just returned from the Chess Club prizegiving where my grandson Calum and myself picked up a trophy each. Been very busy these last 6 days due to family illness - recuperation is likely to take a while - have not been to allotment this week - getting withdrawal symptoms.

Morning all! My freezer has been the best bit of kitchen kit we've ever bought! It has saved me pounds. kids have been packed off to school, rugby training tonight so it was a mad dash looking for gum guards, boots, etc. I really need to get them looking for stuff themselves.
Hoping to do a little cake decorating this morning.

Shock horror it's still cold & wind here. Managed to get the electric fence moved this morning. Now the 4 legged lawnmowers can get to the long stuff, without stealing all the turkey food!

Morning all, grey and coolish here. So, more runner bean chutney this morning. I am visiting a cousin in Redditch at the weekend and she has said she will be pathetically grateful for any produce I can take for her ..... Ha! Ha! Ha! Little does she know (fiendish laughter and twiddles imaginary moustache) how many beans and courgettes I have.

Think I am coming down with a cold, feeling sniffly and a bit of a sore throat. That would be right then since we are back to school on Monday! Bloomin' typical.

Morning all, sunny but blooming freezing this morning...had to force myself out of bed! Finally getting round to making a trip to the blind shop to order blinds for the kitchen...can't be bothered really but I've put it off long enough!
