The OH has again become obsessed with getting chickens (I knew I shouldn't have let him look at the 'show us yout coop' in the hen section - see you feather fanciers are to blame) so I told him that if I could get a free hen house he could have some ex bats - it was a ploy as I never thought I would get one.

Guess where he has just gone? Yep your right he's gone to get a free hen house and run. We have been offered 2 so if the other one gets back to me I shall put it up on a freebie site for some other numpty, just like me.

So more fencing for a bigger run needed plus all things chickeny.....

Hello All. Weather a bit mixed, but mostly sunny with a very, very strong breeze. A bit stiff today after yesterday's weeding marathon, but better than I thought. I've made a hooge apple pie just because I could. Custard will flow later. Hope you're all having a good weekend

Went to Wales. The weather was beautiful when I left home. As I came down the hill just passed the Bath turn off on the M4 I could see this humungous black cloud sitting happily over Wales. I'm now back in the sunshine with a nice cold glass of Muscadet.

Its been a good day for mooching round the garden with the pups and the chooks by my side Done some bramble clearing and herb cutting back. One of my favourite jobs because of the smells. Chucked all the prunings into the chook run - to make that smell sweeter too

Mmmh! I've had my postings pulled when I've explained the circumstances. So I stood in persisting rain for 20 mins before I could see my son. This was near to Usk.

I've just realised I've collected a virus. I'm going to have to do a full scan.

Hummf. It's actually Prescoed. Sort of between Usk and Cardiff. So in the middle of nowhere I couldn't get it on the satnav the first time I went there. Very, very pretty. But the lanes are very muddy and I now need to clean my car.!

I nearly bought some woodland near Prescoed years ago. There was a nice pub nearby which may have influenced me

Good evening all, surprise surprise, it was raining here today, but dry now had somr roast veg. with chicken for tea washed down with one or two glasses of wine, first I`ve had for a while, then went out to sow some salad veg. will beinteresting to see if any come up, just remembered I intended to sow some radish, will try and do it tomorrow,played BBs noisy clip, but with mutters from SHMBO who is watching casulty had to turn it down or be a part of the said show

I can understand that. It is beautiful round there but because of why my son is there I don't really want to go back there after next Friday. I am, however, happy to go back to Cardiff, eating in restaurants looking over the bay, bliss.
