Watching my grandaughter Molly growing up. This was taken on her first birthday (Dec 13th). She is running round and into everything, growing like a runner bean.

I think she is going to be a keen gardener, she has already mastered (Harvesting) she loves pulling up grandads little plants, bless.

HOWEVER on the college Intranet there is a job advertised. It is a traineeship based at Oxford University Botanic Gardens, the job is for a year. Wages are low but imagine what I could learn in this job. Plus there is no age restriction (Edinburgh Botanic Gardens take on apprenticeships but you must be aged under 19). Ahem I'm a wee bit older than 19. All I can think about is I want this job, I will give it my all. I know living costs are high in Oxford but I also have Mr Frosty's pension. Rent a wee room for a year?

Go girl! At least send your application in, worry about the move if you get it

First little venture off piste into the powder yesterday without mishap

Te#co have started getting their garden stuff here. Managed to pick up a small water butt for �6.75
Going to try and use it as a wormery
Also has some terracotta pots in for about 75p. Didn't get any as I couldn't sneak them into the trolly because the water butt was taking up to much room. Darn it.

Got a new car!!! (Well, new for me) Just picked it up...swapped my 15year old classic Fiesta for a nipper in racing red! It will match Stans collar!

Flock of spadgers that turned up at the end of last year and have stayed. They cheep like mad, a sound that takes me straight back to hot summers as a child.

My Grandson, age 15 goes to a 'special' school because he has ADHD and massive behavioural problems, has just received his certificate for C Grade in English. TAKEN A YEAR EARLY, last November.
I'm so bladdy proud of him. he's now doing the Mocks or whatever, fingers crossed for more passes
