Good morning. Sun is out here. I've cleaned the flat again since I have been awake. All ready for when the landlord comes inspecting. Not sure what to do today. If it still sunny this afternoon I think I may pop around my mums for a bit.

Eeevening all - home late after evening classes - cake decorating! Today I was doing buttercream and trying out my flower paste roses and lilies. I had to come up with an idea for a big finale cake to decorate in a few weeks' time so I decided I would do one with Springer spaniels and bouncy tennis balls and paw prints all over it. I wonder why?

We have snow too, looked out when I got up at silly o'clock, looked lovely. When I finally did get up, hubby had done the sensible thing and cleared all paths, fed the birds twice

Morning all. No coffee or tea for me, I'm right off it at the mo

It's snowing hard here just now and I can't even go out to play. I am in bed recovering from an op and will be aaaages before I can even get in the garden. So, summer salads and very late crops this year for me. I never even got in the garlic because I have been a poorly/lazy kitty.

Morning. Bitterly cold here. We had a dusting of snow last night but nothing too major.
Feel a bit like crud again today. Kids germs are back again in full force so just popped some pain killers.
Got to sort some paperwork out. Having to go to council to put our name down for a council place. Bit bummed off but money isn't stretching far enough anymore.

I have had problems when I left the dogs on their own for any length of time - Rosie used to howl when she was on her own - she is a lot quieter now she has her sister- but Petal likes to yap endlessly when she hears the cat, and my neighbour on one side gets annoyed.

Fortunately they seem to go to sleep after their supper and now I have Barleysugar living next door the other side, she can pop in and quieten the dogs if they start creating a ruckus!

Hope everyone who has a lurgy gets over it quickly...not nice feeling grotty when it's as cold as this.

My uncle who is over 80 and suffers from chronic obstructive airways whatsit was taken into hospital last Friday with very low blood oxygen. The idea was to get him stabilised and then get him back to the local cottage hospital. He is now stabilised but no beds in local hospital . Even worse, because there is a shortage of beds in the big hospital, he's being shunted from ward to ward and yesterday, he ended up in a ward with no heating :eek.

Beggars belief. Bad enough being poorly without freezing
