You're going to balance each ladder on 2 chairs spanning the pond. This will let you crawl out to the middle of the pond along the ladder without getting wet, so you can put food in viewing towers / remove blanketweed / whatever.
That's my suggestion: mundane but practical, completely in character.Comment
