Chucking it down in Aberdeen this morning and looks set to do so the whole day . Never mind, I can play today instead of working, well after I do the housework and paint the bathroom.

Having a well earned rest today! Yesterday I cared for a friends downs girl when he went to work. Carer on hols! She's in her mid teens but has a wicked streak, we did coffee out, went shopping for mince, made a vat of spag Bol, followed a recipe!! I've never done that but it was good practice for her, haven't laughed so much in ages, even made loom(?) bands. Sat down and watched a film in the afternoon - first time I've watched telly in months. I think we both enjoyed it. I was in bed very early last night...I'm still recovering

Back in the land of the living today - having driven from deepest darkest Stanglia yesterday afternoon. Rosie was most perturbed to hear the chickens laying eggs yesterday morning - she kept pointing in the direction of the allotments and saying 'wassat?'

I don't really enjoy driving any more - think I need to get a new car to make it comfier.

Morning all (just). Had a late night last night and a lie-in this morning. There was a lot of clearing up to do before I could sit down and catch up with the Vine goings-on.

I'm looking forward to a nice quiet day today. The allotment needs some of my time, stuff to pick and weeds to pull!

Morning. Not slept well as I found out yesterday that my Dad needs major heart surgery. Bit of a shock to us all. Still sun is shining and the decorator is finally coming to do the exterior painting. Thought he was coming in May!

No matter, it's pork chop for tea. Might do a marinade then a stir fry like the other day.

Nipped to the Hill earlier on my way to my friends for lunch, and took her some runners and french beans. The courgettes have slowed right down with this cooler weather - I only had one off the two plants since Sunday.

Just hope I sleep well when I finish tomorrow morning. My fella has been out of work for 7 months and got a call today saying he will be starting working tomorrow so glad he is working again!
