    Petite just means a shorter neck-to-waist measurement, usually. You might've just been able to add that extra inch to the pattern, if you hadn't cut the fabric yet. How annoying

          I got the money back for the pattern, but not the fabric. I've completed two more dresses since, and inserted the same fabrics, rather than a contrast. I put a contrast into that one because it's cut out fabric, and it's like stitching a bunch of holes together.

          The only difference between a petite pattern and a standard pattern is a small 'P' printed on the envelope flap and the seller didn't notice it. According to her, I should have noticed it. Can't quite work out that logic.......

          I'll have a look at that Burda magazine when I go into town on Monday.
