As some of you will be aware, I make and decorate celebration cakes.Have been doing it for a while and in the present economic climate feel that doing it on a more professional basis is the way to go.
I want to set up my own website and was wondering if any of you have any experience using these DIY-build-it-yourself sites. I have enquired of a local website building company who want 350 for a "basic" site. I have no idea if that's a good deal - perhaps one of you techy types will know.
Now you MUST bear in mind that my computamabob skills are VERY LIMITED and if you start asking me about "bytes" and stuff like that, I'm likely to burst into tears.

Being a control freak (yeah, honest!
) I wanted control over content, and didn't want to pay someone else, as I knew I'd be making regular changes. When you buy your domain name, try to get both dot-com and dot-co-dot-uk suffixes, and link the two, that way you won't lose half your business to another company with the same name.
