    I use them all too. Everytime I trot one of those sayings out I think, Gawd, I'm turning into Ma or my Nan. But when I think about that, it's not such a bad thing after all. Both are to be admired.

    I caught myself saying 'What the hell is that bl**dy awful noise?' My father used to say it when I was watching TOTP. My children were watching MTV.....

                                My late MiL used to say if someone was puzzled, "You look like Mulberry's dickey, inwardly wexed"!
                                Yes I know, I didn't understand it either. I suppose I was inwardly wexed.
