Nah you'll be fine, from yours go through Small Heath on A45,when you can go no further turn left at TT junction, then at first major crossroad turn right (A4545) ,then at next major junction left onto Hagley Road, then after about 1/4 mile left at traffic lights. He who smiles in the face of adversity, has already decided who to blame

I do recall there is limited parking space there & more importantly for those with larger vehicles limited maneuvering space,so it may be prudent to park in local streets

Walsall, yes, but right next to the crappiest bit of the M6. It shouldn't be that bad on a Sunday apart from all the people going to IKEA.Originally posted by VirginVegGrower View PostThought he lived in Walsall, not Brum. They always stick up temporary speed restrictions to enable traffic flow - it works. We drive into Brum most weeks and Mr VVG drives it several days each week. It really isn't that bad.

I'm not very good round Birmingham; I don't know that bit.
Sadly, I can't make it as I'm scheduled to be drunk that day.
No, really. I'm on a stag weekend. I'm a bit gutted.

I've nae idea, what are they ? Public transport almost certainly, so far I keep getting told that I need to set off at teatime on Saturday !If I could find a campsite, entirely possible. But somehow I don't think Birmingham is famous for them...Are we talking buzz or toot toot?
I may yet go visit somewhere else on the Saturday and come at it literally from a different direction - I want to see as much of England as possible while I am down, just in case the borders close someday...
You do know there are two stations in Newark (Castle and Northgate)? Different trains stop at each (never both) and it's a fair march from one to the other. Goodness knows why as Newark is hardly a throbbing metropolis. Just thought I'd say as I've been caught out with a very short time to do a rather long walk with heavy bags in the past!
Well, I can see how I am going to have to check my details ! Thanks for the warning Seahorse, pretty much a vital fact to know, and exactly the sort of detail that I miss when doing internet planning fatigued late at night

Tis all shaping up well
Well, that's torn it ! Now you've said that, <adopts Corporal Fraser from Dad's Army accent> we're awlll dooomed - d'you know how many tons of snow there are going to be between me and thee ? !
On the plus side, if this continues until mid April, my accomodation problems for getting to Birmingham on the Saturday night are solved. I can build an igloo...

Could put the cover on for you
Many a true word spoken in jest Hoblette, I have slept in less salubrious places.
Sadly, like Twoshed's parrot, I think I would need a cover over that, in order to be sure of a good night's sleep. Otherwise, it would be curtains for me and my dog...
But if worse comes to worst and I cannot find a patch of non-muddy ground for a tent (I'm not looking at you Hobbit, we all know your plot !
) does anyone know of any good all-night clubs in the Birmingham area that are labrador-friendly ?
