    • Having to pick up work for colleague simply because she's too disorganised and faffs too much instead of getting on with it. I too am busy, I get as many interuptions, but because I'm quiet and prefer to keep my head down and get on with stuff rather than constantly moaning about it I obviously give the impression of having nothing to do. Don't want to say anything to line manager, even in confidence, as I know it'll be brought up at a later date so I just have to fume silently - thank Crunchie for this thread.

      • How long does the tram take to get from Hollinwood Station to Chorlton?
Who knows? They certainly don't want to share the information. They'll tell me what time they start and what frequency they are but nothing actually useful.

The whole retargeting ad thing is silly. If you look for a fridge and buy one you still get shown fridge ads for months!

                • There's a metre of fresh snow in the ski resort.
The bloomin roads to it are closed because there's too much snow.
Well who could have predicted that?

                    • I learned this morning that a chap Mr VVG and I worked with had passed away last week - only in his 50s - but the email from old colleagues, informing of his funeral, came through at 09:30am this morning for a 10:00am today service, in Milton Keynes! Hope someone attends.
Not really a rant, just a sadness that people seem more intent on gossiping email news, than sending for a purpose.

Why are you vacuuming a wet carpet? It's not a wet or dry vacuum. It doesn't do wet. Next thing you'll be complaining the vacuum cleaner is broken. Like the three before it. FFS!

                            • Finding out that a "hospital friend" of my sisters passed away before xmas because she decided to stop her treatment at Christies and go down the 'alternative treatment' route for her cancer.

                              She was 29

She paid out ££££'s for all sorts of tablets and drinks and phoney treatments that didn't help her one jot and now she is dead.

Such a waste of a life and it makes me so angry that people are allowed to peddle that rubbish to vulnerable, ill people

Bugger that not good but there are cases for & against,my BiL who died last year did have chemo,it was unpleasant but it extended his life by six years,my brother chose not to have chemo, fully understanding that his life would be shorter but of "better quality" which was indeed the case.
