I've got a lot of peas, toms etc so thought I'd go for a few experimental things that I can't easily get elsewhere as well as some of the more standard stuff.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Good idea. I'm still trying to build my heritage legumes so they were a natural choice really. Plus Mr VVG isn't very experimental, bless him. The kids eat a wider range of food groups

        Same as any other bean.

But we need a decent summer first!

Oh OK that's nice and straightforward for me...I like that. Polytunnel crop?

Received my seeds today and got Major Cooks bean as a lucky dip. Anyone grown that before?

Got my seeds today. My lucky dip is Tall Kale, may pop that into the VSP as I do not have enough room to grow more kale.

Maybe we have a special HSL swap shop. Wonder what I'll have?

Sounds good VC. Off to research tall kale.

I know I asked for Daubenton's kale but I think Tall kale was one of the 2nd runners. The kales had about 50 seeds in a packet so we could split those and share them round - not so easy when you have 3 squash or even 10 beans!! I'm happy to split my larger packets so that we all have more variety.

I've got mine too - was very exciting All first choices and Major Cook's Beans. Having read up the beans I'll still be growing them as you can never have enough beans and I always like to try a few new varieties - should be able to fit them in among the squash beds next year.

Who mentioned Daniel's Defiance Runner bean? HSL have just tweeted that they have run out, so anyone thinking of choosing those - pick another one I'm afraid.
