To be honest i would be happy with a christmas temp job, it would give me some experience which i drastically need, as all the vacancies recently have stated that they want someone with experience - im sick of staring at 4 walls

I see what you mean, but it can get realy depressing when you try and try and try and nothing seems to happen - in this case i would prefer bad news to no news at all!

Wishing you the very best of luck with your interview.
Got me thinking that "experience " is a funny old thing. Employers want it but not too much as you cost too much. My husband was make redundant last week as the company was losing 3 out of 5 people at his grade. Yes the 3 they lost were the ones with many years experience and the therefore the highest salaries. One of the "survivors" has only been in post since May so must be seen to be a fast learner to have gathered the 20+ years experience of the staff they have lost! I am also made to feel like an expense in my job as I have reached the top of the pay scale and work 3 days. A younger person with no experience could be employed full time. Can't win can we.

May I ask how he finds working there - as from looking on the web it doesn't seem like a good place to work?

But then again a job is a job and you can really afford to complain nowadays can you!!!

well he's been there over a year now if that's anything to go by. There's quite a few staff at his store that have been there a long time. I get the impression that it's quite good, a lot depends on the store managers though. The only thing that he's had a problem with is booking holiday, although I think that's more his line managers fault rather than morrisons. They always have a xmas 'do' for staff and everyone gets a bottle of wine/chocs and the regional managers always go to them(they must get sick of it by xmas!)All in all I don't think it's any worse than anywhere else tbh.

Hope you get the job, I know what it must have been like for you, my husband was out of work for a while, sent out loads of cv's with no replies although we have had some thanks but no thanks lately(cv's sent out over 12mnths ago!) If you persevere something will come up, just keep the faith!
Oh, hubby managed to finally get a permanent position after 18mnths of temporary contracts.
