I do use shaving oil, but I think it's the actual razors. I use M@ch 3 currently, and they seem to be blunt after 1 or 2 shaves, so they cost me a fortune - plus it's all the plastic waste then too.Originally posted by zebedee View PostFor what it's worth, try something that my wife put me onto (she got it from the TV). Before you shave, apply a this smear of baby oil (yes, baby oil) to your beard. Leave for a few minutes. Then apply a reasonably generous amount of baby lotion. Then shave, but DO NOT go against the grain. You get a pretty good shave, no barbers rash and yer face feels good. Seriously, give it a try. Supermarkets own brand baby oil and lotion is perfectly fine.
I shave in other areas too! Gotta keep the streamlining going on!Originally posted by Two_Sheds View PostYou men, tut.
You only have to shave yer faces. That's pretty much the ONLY place that we females aren't required to depilate
I dropped the bombshell that I'd forked out a lot of money on some new shaving kit last night to my wife, who took it surprisingly well. Only now am I wonder what she has bought, or is planning to!

Chris, when do you shave? I shave straight after a shower so that my pores are still open, making shaving easier. I do like a sensitive gel.Originally posted by chris View PostI do use shaving oil, but I think it's the actual razors. I also use a mach 3, but I don't change them that often. I used to change them every week, but in compensating for the cost of the OH's hair cuts I know change a blade every 3-4 months.
