In my personal estimation it is ,we all have our own idea of when summer starts,whats yours ?

Mine is the first time each year I hear this tune on the radio .............

Yes I was Enjoying my first cup of coffee of the day sitting in the garden long before the rest of the house stirs! Peace and quiet.....mmmmmmm

For me its having tan and tshirt lines!!!! Yes I have white shoulders and reddish brown arms oooops, but the gardening needed doing.

Well I was burn't in March Jax, and it definitely wasn't summer then!!!

I did think for a while that, that might have been our summer mind.

Summer for me starts, when I pick the first fresh juicy tomato. (I'm still a week or two off that yet)

Well. the elder came out in flower today and the frogspawn in my 'container of water that I hadn't used to water the fruit bushes oh no looks like I have a pond' hatched and I am now the proud owner of tadpoles.

I'm off tonight to collect Elderflower for making champagne, the taste of that is always summer to me, irrespective of when you drink it.

Upto the summer of '74 when that record was released,summer for me stated with the first raw peas pulled by me from my parents plants
