I felt like that last year Carol when all three blowaways blew away, when I thought I'd drowned my tomatoes and when no runner beans ran. If it hadn't been for the encouragement, advice and humouring on here I think I would have packed it in. Keep on keeping on, it has to get better some time soon Yay for the carrots!

I can't cover me strawberries either. Forecast here for tonight is 4 degrees but I'm still worried.

Well every weather forecast I've looked at is different so I'll give up and just look out the window and very pleasant it looks too with the garden bathed in the evening sun

I've lost my celeriac seedlings and calabrese seedlings. I've got one foot high brassicas that are too tall to plant. I've got potatoes that will need covering and I can't be ar*ed to fight yet more mud, after an evening of it at home. I'm losing the will to live.

That's the point, with everything else, they didn't get damp. They were on my long list of pricking out which I couldn't do because I couldn't get to them because of everything else in there! Long sentence I know - sorry
On the upside I have more celery seedlings than I know what to do with

Sorry to disappoint, but it hailed here, just after I put the washing out! The sun still shone through it though! Isn't the weather wonderful
