Cars you love, cars you hate

I have and always will be a complete fanatic when it comes to cars, I know they do not make environmental sense BUT i am sorry i love them Or more to the point minis old and new. My first car was a total wreck of a mini which we did up and then sprayed pink. I loved her. The next a mini mayfair, the next a mini thirty and then kids etc came along and I got family type cars but always longed for that go cart feel.
Loved the look of the BMW mini but felt torn as it wasn't a 'proper' mini then I drove one and fell in love.... mini driving with all the mod cons! Totally hooked, named her The Minx after Minnie the Minx of comic fame and she and I have had many a Mini Adventure over the last four years. Now need to get another car, however feeling very torn as totally in love with the Minx, yes it is sad it is only a car!!, but felt torn didn't want another hatch as felt disloyal so have plumped for a clubman which totally divides opinion on the taste stakes, folk either love it or hate it so have perfect name for new motor Marmite.
So calling all fellow petrol headed grapes which cars do you love and which do you hate? And... What name do you call your motor?

My first car was a brand new Mercedes B Class in 2007 loved it, as you would lol. Wife lost her job a year later though so we had to trade in for something cheaper. Now have a Mondeo Zetec S from 2004 and i absolutely love it. When the finance is finished in 16 months i'll be buying the MK4 Zetec S Mondeo from around now as its superb looking and handles even better than the mk3

Sounds fab, I love the sound of my new cooper engine I love putting the windows down and changing up the gears just so I can hear the noise!! You would so totally understand that feeling.

Oh, Mini's, yes - happy memories!! My very first car was an old wreck of a Renault 6 - lasted 5 months before the bottom fell out! Then came my first Mini, Mo, which lasted until my second Mini, Humphrey. I then became a couple, so shared OH's car for a bit before that demised and we found Custard, another Mini (guess what colour that one was?!).

We then graduated to MG's - first a midget, (Midge, totally unoriginal) then an MGBGT, (Oswald) then a rather lovely MGB which was actually a year older than me, which I named Lucifer, as it was red and a bit of a devil as it always seemed to be breaking down....

Once the children arrived we had to bid a fond farewell to Lucifer in favour of five seaters, but I will always have a soft spot for Mini's, and my daughter (10) says she wants one as her first car...

I always hankered after a Fiat Coupe 20VT. Love/hate styling (I love it) and very quick, but by the time I could afford one they had been out of production for too long and the chances of getting a second hand turbo that hadn't been abused was very slim, so I chickened out!

Fond memories of annoying salesmen in Vectras when I had my 106 GTi as well a good few years back.

My last two cars have been Alfa Romeo and I've no plans to change marque any time soon. Currently running a Brera and wouldn't swap it for anything on the road under �50K - it's that good.

Rather to many to list but you would generally think that the newer model would be an improvement but that was not the case with Ford Zodiac Executives,loved my Mk 3 to bits but the replacement Mk4 was horrible,but Ford redeemed themselves with the Granada

I don't understand. Why do you 'need to get another car' after 4 years if you liked it so much? 4 isn't that old for a modern car... Mine is um... a good bit older than that.

I've had my current car for over a decade and like with my bicycle it is very old and trusty - but I could never do without a bicycle.

I've loved most of my cars; had a BMW Mini for a year - didn't really gel with it. Really loved my Freelander 2, but current animal is a BMW M5. Drinks an obscene amount of peterol but I love it. Totally useless in Winter though but then gives me a reason not to drive!

Never named any of my cars apart from my 2nd one (MG Maestro) which I named Nina. I also tend not to keep any cars for more than 18 months to 2 years. Mostly because I like change and I usually get them on short term leases. Not sure what's coming next though although my daughter reckons another Land Rover is a winner.

Most people who've had to do with them like the BMW 'mini', and I don't doubt it is an excellent small car, I simply don't accept that it is a real Mini!
I have similar objections to the thing that is now called a VW Beetle, no doubt a good car, but a Beetle it isn't!

We have a 1960 ford anglia 105e and a 1966 morris minor 1000 4 door saloon and they are our babies!!

My first car was a Mk1 Fiesta Finesse - oxymoron! Will always hold a place in my heart as my first.

My best car to date was my Seat Leon Cupra - I still hanker after it now.

Currently I drive a Honda Accord Tourer - it's my "meh" car. It does the job.

Cars I love? Too many to list, but if I ever own one of these I'll be more than happy:

I love my current motor, a Mercedes Vito Dualiner LWB sport. It's a huge van combo, serves me perfectly for work and I can chuck the bikes in the back of it on the weekend and disappear, its fab. Biggest plus is the car toll price when crossing the severn bridge.

I quite like cars and currently have a LR Defender 110 SVX3 (Good for the local terrain).
