Valentines Day...What are you doing??

We have just had our Valentine's tea of cheesy beans on toast, and warm ginger sponge with ice cream

About to have mine. Have sick child at the mo so no time for fancy cooking, just a bung in the oven instant meal, although have had nice bottle of Fizz.

Have to admit to buying a card, but every year I always bake a heart shaped cake, using a different idea each time. This year it was carrot cake with the cream cheese topping, aka Passion Cake

The topping was pale pink and I made a small heart on top with mini gold and silver dragees.

OH cooked for me and a bottle of bubbly was part of it too.

I suppose Valentines Day just reminds you to stand still and take stock of what you have, jiust in case you forget.

Now I've got to get my thinking cap on for next year.
