It depends, the Vine is hosted on a server belonging to a company called 1&1, probably located in Germany. Admin's ability to change the clock maybe restricted, particularly if the server is shared.

Yes HS, we've had this discussion before, several times in fact, I even started a separate thread about it, a year or so back. BUT my point is, whatever the time difference between here and any where else in Europe is, it would only be out by an hour NOT 13 minutes. So I'm assuming the Server has the wrong time? Why?

I admit I'm not a techy, just curious.

Sometimes the system clocks loose time, or gain time, get out of sync etc - or the sync daemon/server isn't running properly to sync with the designed 'time server'.

I like it - it's much slicker and quicker. When I'm 'googling' I often come across other Forums/Fora using the same system as the Vine, but much newer versions. I guess we've been updated!

Well, if it's a shared server then they might be obliged to get everyone hosted on that server to agree to as & when the change is done. Also, getting someone else to do something can be a lot more difficult than doing it yourself. But if you don't have the ability to do it youself then all you can do is ask.

I've had to log in again too, and I have to everytime I move to a different tab on my browser, any ideas folks ? Is this something to do with the work earlier today ?

I log in and ask it to remember me - so I'm logged in almost all the time. Much to the confusion of other grapes who think I'm on the vine when I'm not - I'm at work!
