Sorry to hear that they can't help you chuck. Physio to help strengthen what you still have left seems like a good plan. (As does the gin in my opinion!))

Sounds horrible Two Sheds, what a shame they couldn't operate & try some of those muscle/nerve grafts mentioned in your link but on the other hand you've probably had enough of surgery & hopefully if you keep up the physical therapy & the gin you won't feel so bad!

Sorry to hear this TS, and I'm sure the gin will help a little , but I have to say, even though you've obviously gone through a lot with this over a period of time, your posts on here and your enthusiasm to help others says much for your character.

Thanks you guys, all of you. I've lived with the disability and the constant moderate-to-severe pain for 14 years now. There might be a cure, one day.
I try to keep cheerful (actually, I am usually cheery). At the moment I'm feeling low (winter blues) and under pressure not to be a sponger/scrounger on society ...

TS please do not worry about being a sponger / scounger, you of all people are the people who deserve to be treated with respect and claim whatever you can. Theres loads of people who get every penny they can claim and sure as hell dont deserve to get any.

Sounds like you could do with a really good holiday.
