    • finding out yesterday that I have to write reports on my French classes that I only see for half an hour a week. That in itself is not the main rant but being told that the head had forgotten to mention this to the part timers. I am going away to get married and don't get back til 3 days before the deadline, so I effectively have 12 days to do them.

And I now have a whole spare bed full of wedding paraphanalia, and clothes to iron and pack for 4 people or they won't all fit in the cases as well. I thought I was well on track but am now a bit up sh*t's creek!

And number 2 son been up since 5am, high temp and poorly so I've got nothing done as he's just sat on me all day and now no1 son has gone to bed with a chronic ear ache and has been up 3 times already.....

I will abandon sleep for a few weeks I think!

And no chance now of finishing my garden jobs before we go

      • Insurance companies. . .again. Did the right thing and let them know I'd surrendered my licence for 6 months but car is staying in use for OH etc. This means OH who has always been a named driver is now the main driver and will cost me £18 for taking myself temporarily off the policy

They finished the phone call with the standard phrase about letting them know of any changes otherwise it could affect the policy etc. . .do they really think I'm going to ring again!

          • Well, it's Friday 13th, but I'm not superstitious. However, three things went awry, for me, today;
            1. I ate too many dried Apricots (Yummy), and had to spend ages on the loo, making me late, this morning...
            2. Got to the Nags, and one bladdy Horse on the wrong side of the darn fence. Again. Made me a bit later...
            3. Got to the Garage, and filled up the Petrol Can that I use for my Strimmer, only to discover it had a hole in it, so I had to rush in, grab a new can, pour the fuel into the new can, and then go in and pay/explain/apologise.

Yup - I was running late today.

The new bed was dug, planted and the cat still managed to poo in it. Next to the petunias

              • Bleeding free ranging chicken from one of the other plots has bedded down in the bed where I'd I'd sown radish and spring onions last weekend - grrrrrrrrr. The same one is always getting out and when I mentioned it to the plot holder she said that she'd tried to catch it and couldn't so what could she do but not to worry as it would find it's own way back. Now I know some of you won't understand but I find chickens quite scary, am OK with them at ground level if I've got long trousers and boots on but when it keeps flying up onto our fence I get quite aggitated and have to try and scare it back down again but on the outside. Very stressful to me. This wasn't helped when the owner told me that she'd been pecked badly by their cockerel as it's the pecking thing that does for me. To be honest I'm more amazed that the fox hasn't got it yet as am sure the fox could get in as easily as it gets out.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                    • Decided to move my Fergy tractor with it's newly resored bonnet which took me ages to do!

Yep you've guessed it..........clutch plate must have been stuck onto flywheeel, crashed the bladdy thing and caved the flaming bonnet in!

Not to worry......it looks more 'lived in' now I suppose!

                        • Had to kill a small 'Mixi' bunny today. I was working in the garage and heard it squealing, as a flaming crow was sitting on top of it's head pecking at it's sightless eyes. Had to put the poor thing out of its misery. Myxomatosis is a horrible disease.

UPDATE:- Had to do the same for another one today with a similar scenario.

I turn up to find a dustbowl with buried weeds (still firmly rooted), kids playing in the sandpit upwind from me, which means I get sand in my eyes as well as dust from the bed.
                                5. Having to cart cans of water to puddle in the precious plants cos her OH gets ONE and the b****** off!

Sorry for the onslaught, feel a bit better now I've got it down in writing
