Can you remember the "Onion Johnies"

I remember the different van's visiting when we went to visit my grandparents. Remember my mum telling me about Onion Johnny's but don't suppose she had actually seen them in the north of Scotland.

Pink onions sound lovely - are they quite mild?

I remember having to collect the "poo" from the road after the rag and bone man and his horse and cart had been. I always wished that other families did it too as it seemed to make us look a little odd! My Dad used it for his roses.

My first pony lived in our garden (1.5 acres) so I had to go round with a shovel and move his presents to the rose bed!
