I am happy where I am.
I was slimmer, had more money and made some terrible decisions in my 20's.
Best thing I ever did was meet my OH and have our little girl
Now I'm in my 30's I am more confident in myself, finally know what I want to do with myself and happy in my own skin.
Would hate to go back to my late-teen/early 20's.
Would like to have got into gardening and nursing a bit earlier in life though.Kirsty b xx

Me too Geoff (when's your birthday? Mine's the end of this month). Thinking back, maybe there are things I should or could have done differently. But if I had I may not have had my children, who mean the world to me (and consequently my grandchildren, who also mean the world to me). I would not willingly be without any one of them. I just wish I had more energy, enough money to be sure I can keep my (rented) home which I love, and some way of knowing that everything will be OK in the end. At least in a few weeks I get a free bus pass - that must be a bonus!!Originally posted by geoff View PostI will be 60 in a few weeks time. It would be nice to be 25 again for the fitness and health, but only if I can have the knowledge, experience and confidece that I have now

Bet you it disappears after the election. It is costing far more than was originally thought. I think whatever party gets in will leave it to local councils again. And if your council is like ours, they can't wait to get rid of it.Originally posted by rustylady View PostAt least in a few weeks I get a free bus pass - that must be a bonus!!Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

I am happy where I am right now. Speaking as a seasoned commuter to London, I am so glad men are not chatting me up incessantly like they did in my 20s/30s. I have a lovely grumpy 'get lost' look about me now.(and a big bum..) I do yearn for my days horse riding in the Lake district as a youth but I wouldn't swap my kids for anything!!!!

I have similar thoughts about the bus pass too! I will be 60 at the end of April.
I have lots of trips planned, and walks around the Lake District without having to use a car ( yes, I know that would be rough on the suspension, but you know what I mean), but it wouldn't surprise me if they were discontinued soon, ie after the next election, no matter who gets in - every cynic is a disillusioned romantic
